On the 21st of January, The New Moon moves into Aquarius bringing once again the beginning of a new cycle. The Capricorn New Moon cycle ends, and the Aquarius New Moon cycle begins.
Aquarius is all about friendship, group activities, socialising, group projects, trying something new, doing something for a good cause and feeling part of something that matters.
So, if you are reading this, exhausted and drained through the clearing and re-aligning that the Mercury Retrograde energies put you through, I want you to know this: new beginnings are possible now.
Life is going to ask you to think outside the box during this transit so that you can find new solutions to old problems. This is an opportunity to set intentions and to make plans for the coming months.
This new moon, the first of the year, marks the start of a new lunar cycle and will bring with it new beginnings, new opportunities and a chance to set goals for the year ahead. Now is the time for those New Year Resolutions to be set.
This is a time when we should be acknowledging what has gone well and what has not and to look ahead to what we want to create in the coming months. It is a time to be honest with ourselves and to take responsibility for our choices.
After everything we walked through in 2022, we are ready to make changes and improvements to our lives now. We must though, accept responsibility for making those choices, bringing in change and acting on opportunities that present.
For many the journey through 2022 was one of letting go. Of people and situations that were actually disruptive or destructive in our world. The new moon is a time to focus on our relationships with others. It is a time to let go of old grudges and to forgive those who have hurt us in the past. It is a time to recognize our own worth and to make sure we are giving ourselves the care and attention that we need. 2023 is going to be continually asking you to make choices from a place of self-love so I recommend you get used to doing so fast!
This cycle encourages us to reach out to people in our social circle and in our community and recognize the value of our friendships and social networks. We might also recognize that some level of detachment and distancing ourselves from our habits and attachment to the past will help us break away from our own destructive behaviours that are holding us back.
It is time to let go of the past and to take a chance on the future.
