Karen Edwards is the mother of murder victim Becky Godden-Edwards whose remains were found in a field in Gloucestershire. Becky was killed in around 2003 by killer Christopher Halliwell. She was a sex worker at the time of her death and a drug addict, a life she had tried to leave several times with the support of her family.
Her remains were found after Halliwell was arrested in Swindon for the murder of Sian O’Callaghan who he abducted as she was walking home from a night out with friends at a nightclub in 2011. Halliwell is now in prison serving a full life sentence for the murders of Becky & Sian. He was convicted of Sian’s murder and Karen had to fight for a trial over his daughter’s killing. Some of Karen’s story was highlighted in an ITV mini series called A Confession – https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9131050/
Karen has also written her own book about the events which engulfed her life ‘A Killer’s Confession: How I Brought My Daughter’s Murderer To Justice’. Karen will share some of her story and her ongoing fight to hold Wiltshire Constabulary to account. https://amzn.eu/d/8iEGEFp
